About Rick Dubie:
Originally from the Berkshires of North Western Massachusetts, Photographer Rick Dubie currently makes his home in Newington Connecticut. Like many professional photographers, Rick got his start in 1999 using color and black & white film. In 2001 he switched to using professional level digital DSLR cameras and equipment. Although Rick enjoys the creative control and immediate visual information of digital, he tries not to use Photoshop too excessively. Rick prefers to create his photos "in-camera", rather than relying on heavy digital manipulation on a computer. Most of the "digital darkroom" work performed on his photos, mimic techniques and filters used in a traditional film darkroom.

As Rick continues to grow as a photographer, his versatility is reflected by the breadth of the subjects that he covers. His love of capturing adults and children being themselves, inspires his wedding and portrait photography, while his artistic side is always looking for different and unique ways to capture nature or man-made things.

Rick is available for Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Parties and Events. He is also available for On-Site, Family, Child, and Baby Portraits, Business Head Shots, Environmental Portraits, and Commercial work. New Image Photography is based in Connecticut, but will travel throughout the New England area and other locations upon request.
